If a piece of evidence is soaked with blood, and there is a risk of contaminating the scene or transport vehicle, temporary use of plastic bags may be used to transport the item to a secure area for drying, Remember that this method is only for TEMPORARY transportation from the scene. DO NOT leave wet evidence in plastic any longer than absolutely necessary.
